About the Role
General Harvest Restaurants is looking for a talented Chef to join our growing team at Raccolto Restaurant in West Seattle.
Our current Chef is moving into an elevated position within the company, creating an opportunity for a strong culinary leader to take the reins of the back of house and help shape the next chapter of Raccolto.
Raccolto is centered around a simple, ingredient-driven approach to house-made pasta, seafood, and vegetables. We re looking for a Chef with experience in structured kitchen environments who is passionate about high-quality ingredients, learning, growth, and developing people.
The ideal candidate leads with positivity, communicates openly, and sets the standard through their own example. They understand that a great restaurant starts with a strong, supportive kitchen culture.
Compensation & Benefits
- $82,000 annual base salary
- $3,000 signing bonus in the first year
- $85,000 total first-year base compensation
- $500 $1,000 monthly profit-sharing bonus, based on controllable costs and growth

Key Responsibilities
Culinary & Kitchen Leadership
- Lead the back of house team through five dinner services per week
- Maintain a strong, positive leadership presence during service and business hours
- Maintain high culinary standards and a clean, organized, efficient kitchen
- Ensure family meal is prepared nightly
- Foster a positive, respectful, and high-morale kitchen culture
- Uphold and enforce company standards and the employee handbook
Team Development
- Hire, train, coach, and develop BOH team members
- Lead by example and create an environment centered around communication, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support the professional growth of team members
Operations & Financial Management
- Manage food ordering and inventory with accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor and control food costs and operational expenses
- Track food costs using Microsoft Excel
- Review food invoices before submission to the office
- Prepare and post the kitchen schedule at least two weeks in advance
- Learn and understand the financial side of restaurant operations
- Participate in weekly manager meetings
Guest Experience
- Respond thoughtfully to both positive and negative guest feedback
- Work collaboratively with the front of house and management teams to maintain an excellent guest experience
