Substitute placement is on-call, as needed. Schedule your appointment here: https://www.esd113.org/district-support/hr/fingerprinting/Demonstrated aptitude for successful performance of tasks listedMust have a valid Washington State Food Worker cardAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to remain standing during entire shiftAbility to manually move, shelve, stack, or raise from floor to table or serving area heavy objects (pots, pans, trays, and food supplies) weighing up to 35 poundsSuch alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptablePrior job related experience paid or volunteerMaintains the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchenMaintains all food handling and storage in compliance with state health department guidelinesPrepares food according to a planned menu and determines if the finished product is of best quality, both in flavor and appearance before it is servedServes breakfast and/or lunches to students or sells ala carte itemsCleans cafeteria area, including the sanitation and wiping down of tables prior to storageAssists Lead Kitchen Helper as requestedReports immediately to the food service supervisors any problems or accidents occurring in the kitchen or on the cafeteria premisesReports to the food service supervisors any faulty or inferior quality food that is receivedAssist Lead Kitchen Helper in placing orders with the Food Service Supervisor for products needed to prepare for specific job functionsPerforms the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment, the washing and sterilizing of all dishes, silverware, and utensilsIs responsible for taking cash, lunch cards, or entering student meal account pin numbers into point of sale systemCollects and verifies all moneys taken in during the day, fills out deposit, and locks money into bank bag to be picked up by courierValidates that each meal claimed for reimbursement qualifies as a reimbursable mealIs responsible for daily meal and cash report necessary for state reimbursementPerforms other food service related duties as assigned pursuant to the contractPerforms the essential of the job with or without reasonable accommodationCompletes work at assigned workstation(s)Consistently deals with people in a courteous and professional manner to perform basic tasks as listed, perform basic arithmetic calculations, operate standard kitchen equipment, use English in verbal and written form to communicate effectively, problem solve. to stand for prolonged periods of time, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, meet schedules and deadlines, read/interpret/apply rules, regulations, policies, rapidly learn methods and materials used in a variety of situations; significant physical abilities include reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations, near/far visual acuity and may include lifting/carrying 35 lbs. $19.79 per hourSick Leave - Substitutes earn one (1) hour of sick leave for every Forty (40) hours worked in each district.Medical - Substitutes that work 630 or more hours for one district in a school year may earn medical benefits.
