We are expanding our production team and seeking an experienced Chemical Operator / Batch Maker to join us. We offer top-tier regional pay, stable daytime hours, and excellent benefits.
Position Overview:
This role focuses strictly on chemical blending, compounding, and mixing using established formulas. Please note: This position involves physical blending processes, not chemical reaction processing. You will work closely with our Production Manager and Quality Control team, with clear opportunities to expand your skills. We provide thorough on-the-job training on our specific products, safety equipment, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Chemical Blending: Accurately measure, weigh, and mix liquid and dry chemical ingredients using precise compounding formulas.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate industrial mixing tanks, pumps, scales, and product transfer equipment.
Quality Control: Partner with the QC lab to test batches, ensuring all specialized chemical products meet strict ISO 9001 quality standards before repackaging.
Inventory & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized production area. Safely handle materials in accordance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
Material Handling: Assist with moving raw materials and staging components for daily production runs (forklift experience a plus).
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience as a Chemical Batch Maker, Chemical Blender, Compounder, or Chemical Operator.
Skills: Strong mathematical abilities for weight and volume measurements; strict attention to detail when following recipes/formulas.
Physical Ability: Ability to handle the physical demands of a manufacturing environment, including lifting materials and standing for long periods.
Reliability: Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workshop safety.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
• Accurately locating, weighing, and blending raw materials according to formulas and batch instructions.
• Safely operating mixing tanks, pumps, hoses, and related production equipment.
• Completing batch tickets and maintaining accurate records of material usage and remaining inventory.
• Collecting samples and working with Quality Control to ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Cleaning and inspecting equipment and containers to prevent contamination.
• Following chemical handling procedures, wearing required protective equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.
• Promptly reporting production issues and working with the team to resolve them.
Forklift experience and experience working in an ISO 9001 environment are a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift operating experience is required.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment preferred but not required.
Training is provided on ArroChem’s specific products, equipment, and procedures.
