Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Chemical Supervisor to oversee chemical cleaning operations and lead teams of chemical cleaners on industrial projects throughout Louisiana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate chemical cleaning crews (5-15 workers)
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards
- Plan and execute chemical cleaning procedures and protocols
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Monitor chemical inventory and usage
- Coordinate with project managers and client representatives
- Investigate and report any incidents or safety concerns
- Train and mentor junior staff on proper procedures
- Maintain detailed project documentation and reports
Required Qualifications:
- H2S certification (H2S Clear)
- First Aid certification
- TWIC card
- Minimum 5 years experience in chemical cleaning operations
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of chemical safety and environmental regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Confined space supervisor certification
- Previous supervisory experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry
- Hazmat certification
