Hands-on engineering role with plant-wide impact.
Support day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective production processes. Troubleshoot plant process issues and collaborate directly with operators and technicians to resolve operational challenges. Develop and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, and training materials. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and yield enhancement. Monitor process performance using statistical process control (SPC) techniques and data-driven analysis. Coordinate management of change activities and ensure proper communication and implementation. Support new product and process commercialization from development through full-scale production. Investigate downtime events and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, and R&D teams to identify and implement best practices. Ensure safety, health, and environmental considerations are incorporated into process development and operational activities.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; Chemical Engineering preferred. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or chemical processing environments. Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid flow, pumping systems, piping, and instrumentation. Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and implementing process improvements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency with computer systems and engineering-related software tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Hands-on approach with the ability to build credibility and rapport with production, maintenance, and technical teams. Experience reading P&IDs and process schematics is preferred. Experience within continuous process manufacturing, chemical processing, GMP-regulated environments, or high-hazard operations is highly desirable. Programming experience and the ability to obtain TWIC certification are considered advantageous.
