At CONMED, a Finishing Technician I is primarily responsible for producing parts that meet cosmetic requirements and standards.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Willingness to work with materials/chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
Ability to learn and become proficient in:
Metals finishing/plating
Reading instructions, schematics, and blueprints
Operating various types of production equipment
Using gauges and other measurement tools
Commitment to follow all metals finishing and plating procedures.
Ability to operate equipment safely without causing injury or damage.
Willingness and ability to:
Work scheduled overtime
Rotate through various manufacturing processes in a team environment
Reliable and predictable availability to perform duties at the assigned work site and start time.
Ability to function in a high-performance work team environment.
Sustain and maintain 5S standards and support continuous improvement activities.
Operate wastewater handling equipment according to instructions.
Operate chemical finishing operations such as:
Type II passivation
Clear coat anodize
Hard coat anodize
Ability to work at established production rates.
Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Basic computer skills
