Description

Chemical Packaging Technician (Liquid Filling & Labeling)

Location: Princeton, NJ

What your day looks like

You arrive to a clean, organized workspace, gear up with the right PPE, and sync up with teammates before jumping into a series of precisely executed liquid chemical pack-outs. You’ll validate materials by scanning, select the correct calibrated scale, and use a weight-assisted computer to hit exact targets. As you fill and close containers, you’ll label them with the right size and placement, discard any misprints, properly crimp closures, and apply tamper-evident seals. Throughout the shift, you’ll keep SAP and our Manufacturing Execution System up to date—recording actual yield, scrap, and confirming delivery quantities.

Core responsibilities

  • Weigh and fill liquid chemical materials following recipes and work instructions with high accuracy.
  • Execute packing procedures, including scanning for material validation, precision weighing via a weight-assisted computer, verifying and using the correct scales, and performing scale checks.
  • Operate digital tools: Weight Assisted Computer, Manufacturing Execution System, and SAP.
  • In SAP, inventory containers, record total actual packed, confirm pack-out and scrap, and ensure delivery quantities match confirmed amounts.
  • Print/reprint labels; choose label sizes that match container types; place labels correctly; dispose of extra or ruined labels per protocol.
  • Close and secure containers by crimping and applying tamper-evidence seals.
  • Maintain strict safety practices, housekeeping standards, and PPE use at all times.

What you bring

  • 1+ year in chemical manufacturing preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP.
  • Comfort working around strong odors and potential allergens.
  • Able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
  • Frequently lift a 35 lb product hose; regularly move, lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency with SOPs, packaging operations, and chemical handling; forklift license preferred.
