CHEMICAL OPERATOR — TEMP-TO-HIRE
Pay: $19/hour
Location: Glendale, AZ
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday

Job Summary

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is hiring Chemical Operators for a temp-to-hire opportunity at a chemical manufacturing facility in Glendale, AZ. This role provides progressive training in chemical production, container filling, and industrial plant operations within a highly regulated and safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor duties supporting production and plant operations

• Operate propane forklift to move containers and materials (preferred)

• Stage containers and support fill line operations

• Assist with plant housekeeping and cleanup

• Support maintenance and preparation tasks on containers and equipment

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and tankers after training

• Complete filling logs and production reports

• Connect and disconnect railcars

• Assist with cylinder valve rebuilding and inspection processes

• Support bleach manufacturing and product sampling

• Perform minor equipment maintenance

• Participate in safety training and emergency response team as required

• Conduct visual inspections of cylinders and containers per DOT standards

Qualifications

• Chemical manufacturing or production experience preferred

• Over 2 years of Forklift experience preferred (propane forklift strongly preferred)

• Ability to maneuver trucks/trailers for loadout after training

• Strong safety awareness in chemical environment

• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials regularly

• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn progressive skills

Schedule

Winter:

• Monday–Friday starting at 5:00 AM (8+ hrs/day avg.)

• Start time may vary

• Overtime based on production needs

Summer:

• Monday–Friday starting at 4:00 AM (10–12 hrs/day avg.)

• Start time may vary

• Overtime discretionary based on production
