Responsibilities

Entry-level engineering graduate. Responsible for providing process optimization and engineering support for the mill, which will include but not limited to: • Compliance process coordination • Lean projects • Quality and product safety • Analytical and systems support

Develops and maintains methods for tracking and reducing operational costs. Coordinates the efforts of our outside resources to improve our operation by filtering and utilizing appropriate information. Conducts data analysis projects and uses data to make business decisions.

Assignments may include some work at higher levels for training and development purposes.

Successful Candidate Requirements

Successful candidate should have knowledge of pulp & paper making waste-water treatment and recovery operations. Interest and aptitude in controls.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering required.

Applicants must have 0-3 years experience in process engineering or production in the paper industry. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Auto Cad, and Project is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems would be preferred.

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities

Must be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers. Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills. Must be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving. Must be capable of working with ambiguity and change.

Preferred Students

Preferred students that sign up for interviews through University during the Career Fairs and On-Campus Interview days will be given first consideration.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Starting salary range for position: $85,000 - $90,000.

Paid Vacation: Three weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

Paid Holidays.

Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee and their dependents are eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages - medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life AD&D and disability coverages.

Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer-provided matching contributions.
