Fueling Your Passion

As a Chemical Support Operator, you will be responsible for supporting daily chemical operations, ensuring safe preparation, handling, and delivery of products to meet customer requirements. You will bring operational discipline, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety while working in a fast-paced and outdoor environment.

As a Chemical Support Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Following all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures in accordance with the Bayport HS&E Management System.

  • Preparing chemical orders in alignment with company procedures to ensure accurate, safe, and timely delivery to customers.

  • Transporting, loading, and unloading chemical products at site locations to ensure proper handling and receipt.

  • Performing chemical mixing, container relabeling, and filling activities to maintain product quality standards.

  • Supporting routine inspection and maintenance of plant equipment to minimize breakdowns and ensure operational safety.

  • Sampling, staging, and charging materials into chemical vessels and reactors as required.

  • Operating control panels and supporting plant processes in line with operating procedures.

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting transaction tracking through manual and electronic systems.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Have experience working in a chemical services or industrial operations environment.

  • Have strong attention to detail and accuracy in operational tasks

  • Have working knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory requirements.

  • Have proficiency in IT systems, including experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Have strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Have a valid driver’s license and experience operating forklifts.

  • Have the ability to work in a busy, outdoor, and physically demanding environment.

  • Have experience with inventory management, record keeping, and logistics coordination.

  • Schedule: The DuPont shift schedule is a continuous 28-day rotating pattern that uses four crews to provide 24/7 coverage. Employees work 12-hour shifts, alternating between day and night shifts, averaging 42 hours per week. A key feature of this schedule is a full 7-day consecutive break every four weeks.
