Chemical Technician

Westaff is Hiring for a 1st Shift Chemical Technician in Meriden, CT!

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Pay Rate: $23 an hour

Chemical Tech Responsibilities:

• Monitor raw materials, supplies, and finished product levels across multiple product lines
• Prepare, mix, and manufacture chemical solutions following SOPs and batch records
• Perform routine calculations as required
• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation, including logs, records, and batch paperwork
• Create batches of finished products that meet quality standards
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives
• Follow OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001, and company safety procedures
• Properly collect, label, and handle waste generated during production
• Use the company ERP system to start and complete batches
• Keep work areas clean and organized; complete required cleaning protocols
• Perform additional tasks as needed, including lab/analytical work, warehouse support, and generating or checking CoAs

Chemical Tech Requirments:

• Strong attention to detail in measurements and material handling
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer proficiency; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office
• Familiarity with SDS and proper PPE usage
• 3–5 years of manufacturing or production experience; chemical experience preferred
