Job Summary
Chemist I to join its Toxicology Business Unit in Pomona, CA. This entry-level laboratory position supports manufacturing operations through laboratory testing, reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, and GMP-compliant production activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biological Sciences and a strong interest in laboratory operations, quality systems, and manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities
Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain compliance with established safety standards.
Read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Records.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of laboratory equipment and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
Manufacture products according to GMP requirements and Quality System procedures.
Prepare antibody solutions, drug-positive solutions, enzyme-conjugate solutions, calibrators, controls, and laboratory reagents.
Perform analytical EIA in-process testing and support product quality verification.
Conduct daily temperature monitoring and maintain associated records.
Support manufacturing objectives by completing production-related laboratory tasks.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
Operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively according to established procedures.
Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, records, and electronic data entry within manufacturing systems.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and availability of materials required for production activities.
Support document revisions including BOMs, process documentation, NCMRs, and deviation records.
Perform formulations, material evaluations, equipment calibration, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and maintain professional working relationships.
Support compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate laboratory records.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe laboratory practices.
