Chemist - I (Assistant)

JSG is seeking a Chemist for our client in Wilson NC
In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine analytical testing, documenting results, and supporting laboratory investigations in a fast-paced, compliance-driven setting. Your work will directly impact the development and quality assurance of life-changing medications.

Pay $28.06/hour

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Hoshin, Standard Work)
• Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment such as Karl Fisher, pH meters, conductivity meters, UV, HPLC, Dissolution apparatus, etc.
• Understanding of regulatory, cGLP, and cGMP principles
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with HPLC, dissolution apparatus, FTIR, NIR, and other laboratory instruments
• Familiarity with Empower, Labware/LIMS systems
• Ability to perform root cause analysis
• Technical writing skills, including updating SOPs and writing quality notifications
• Knowledge of Tier processes
• Experience executing continuous improvement initiatives

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of Beta Lactam screening
• Eye exam certification
