Job Description

The Cherry Picker Operator plays a crucial role in warehouse operations, primarily utilizing electric and hydraulic cherry pickers to manage inventory efficiently. This position demands strict adherence to safety protocols while handling loads, conducting equipment maintenance checks, and maintaining organized work areas. Operators collaborate within both small and large teams to ensure smooth inventory movement and quality inspections during day and night shifts.

 

Responsibilities

  • Operate electric and hydraulic cherry pickers safely and efficiently
  • Handle, move, and organize warehouse inventory
  • Adhere to safety compliance standards and procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
  • Inspect loads for quality and accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with team members in small and large groups
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area


 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in material handling
  • Forklift operator certification
  • Knowledge of equipment operation and safety procedures
  • Skill in load securing and handling
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Physical stamina suitable for warehouse tasks
  • Must be able to operate both an order picker and stand-up reach forklift.
  • Must bring a valid forklift certification.
  • Must be available for their assigned shift.
  • Must be available to work overtime on weekends when needed.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • Must be able to complete basic logic and math calculations at approximately a U.S. elementary school level.


The pay rate for this position is adjusted to $19 per hour. After completing three months, employees with consistent performance and attendance may be evaluated for a potential increase to $20 per hour.

The increase is performance-based and is not guaranteed.


Shifts

  • First shift (8:30 AM–5:00 PM)
  • Second shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM)
