Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, and clamp trucks to efficiently pick, load, and unload inventory within a fast-paced distribution environment. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, materials handling, and safety standards will ensure smooth operations and optimal inventory control. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in warehouse operations, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment.

Duties

• Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to accurately pick orders from high shelves and designated storage areas.
• Load and unload materials safely using appropriate equipment while adhering to OSHA and warehouse safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Manage inventory through barcode scanning for logistics, updating warehouse management systems accurately.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, preparing orders for dispatch, and maintaining accurate records.
• Follow manual handling procedures for heavy lifting tasks to prevent injury and ensure workplace safety.
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts (including lift trucks), clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment within a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and materials handling procedures.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, forklift safety protocols, and heavy equipment operation standards.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations including order picking, load & unload processes, shipping & receiving.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements.
• Experience with barcode scanning technology used in logistics environments.
• Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or managing warehouse distribution is a plus.
• Commitment to safety standards in production environments with attention to detail and operational efficiency.
