Job Description

This role involves safely operating a cherry picker that reaches up to 38 feet, supporting shipping and receiving activities, and performing a variety of warehouse tasks. You will work with voice picking systems, RF scanners, and material handling equipment while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cherry picker safely and efficiently at heights up to 38 feet.

• Support daily shippingand receiving operations, including loading and unloading materials.

• Shrink wrap and palletize products to prepare them for shipment.

• Use a voice picking system and RF scanner to accurately pick, locate, and verify inventory.

• Assemble and prepare boxes and packaging materials for outbound shipments.

• Pick up and remove scrap material to maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Perform order picking and inventory-related tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Cross-train in several warehouse areas to support different operational needs as required.

• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

• Maintain a high level of productivity while ensuring accuracy in all assigned tasks.

Essential Skills

• Prior experience operating a cherry picker.

• Comfort working at heights up to 38 feet.

• Ability to use an RF scanner and voice picking system confidently.

• Experience with forklifts and order picking in a warehouse environment.

• Strong attention to detail for accurate picking, packing, and inventory handling.

• Ability to learn new tasks and processes quickly and effectively.

• Capability to perform physically active work, including standing, lifting, and moving materials.

• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with shipping, receiving, and palletizing in a warehouse setting.

• Familiarity with shrink wrapping and preparing pallets for outbound shipments.

• Background in inventory control or warehouse logistics.

• Willingness to cross-train and support multiple functional areas within the facility.

• Strong communication skills to follow voice-directed picking instructions and team guidance.

This is a Contract position based out of Independence, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
