Start your new career as a Cherry Picker with MAU at West Marine in Rock Hill, SC. As a Cherry Picker, you will safely operate warehouse equipment to accurately pick, transport, and organize merchandise within the distribution center while supporting efficient order fulfillment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures
  • Previous experience operating pallet riders, stock pickers, cherry pickers, or similar warehouse equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse picking systems preferred
What You'll Do as a Cherry Picker:
  • Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers in the distribution center
  • Perform pre-operational equipment inspections and report safety concerns promptly
  • Accurately pick and transport merchandise to fulfill customer and online orders
  • Handle and transport hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations
  • Stock inventory in designated warehouse locations
  • Use handheld RF scanners to track and manage inventory
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each shift
  • Work safely in hot and cold warehouse conditions
  • Operate equipment in narrow aisles and elevated areas as needed
  • Support daily warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
