Position Summary
The Care Supervisor is a field-based clinical support role responsible for ensuring quality, compliance, and continuity of care across assigned client cases. This position serves as the “eyes and ears” in the home, supporting caregivers, advocating for clients reinforcing care plans, conducting routine client check-ins, and coordinating communication between the field and the office team.
The Care Supervisor works under the direction of the RN Supervisor and Care Manager and does not replace clinical supervision. Instead, this role enhances customer service, caregiver coaching, CareLink compliance, and operational flow.
The primary function of this role is to visit clients regularly to manage quality, ensuring that care plans are being followed and everyone is maintaining compliance. The care supervisor supports aides in the field, identifies training and development opportunities, and helps structure reporting and workflow as the census grows. The care supervisor will participate in orientations, introduce aides to new cases, and will be expected to cover cases as a last-ditch effort in rare circumstances, and as such, they should hold a valid CHHA license.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, CNA, or similar role—supervisory duties a plus
- First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven ability to lead, educate, and inspire caregiving teams
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to lift / transfer clients and adhere to all health and safety guidelines
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and comfort using mobile apps / EMR systems
