Chicago - Trusts & Estates Associate

Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking an associate to join our Trusts & Estates practice group. That person can either sit in Chicago or New York. The ideal candidate would have 1-3 years of experience in estate planning. Candidates should welcome the opportunity to handle a wide range of Trusts & Estates transactions and to interact directly with clients and opposing counsel. Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and strong academic credentials are required, with background or classes in estate and gift taxation. Our Trusts & Estates practice group builds innovative, personalized strategies that advance clients' unique needs and protect their financial legacies.

Kirkland & Ellis LLP offers a competitive salary structure, as well as a robust offering of benefits to all of its attorneys. Compensation is based upon the roles and responsibilities of the position and the experience and education of the applicant and is aligned with internal pay equity within Kirkland & Ellis LLP itself. The hiring salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $260,000. These figures are not representative of the full compensation range for this position.
