The CAO will be responsible for all aspects of our financial and accounting functions, including regulatory compliance, policy development, and strategic planning. Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all corporate accounting functions, including tax planning, asset management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
2. Lead the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
3. Develop and implement financial strategies to drive the company's vision and business plans.
4. Ensure the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
5. Work closely with the executive team to strategize on financial matters and make recommendations to improve financial performance and business opportunities.
6. Prepare the company for an Initial Public Offering (IPO), if required, and lead the process of De-SPAC.
7. Ensure the company is ready for public status, managing all the steps necessary for the company to transition smoothly and successfully.
8. Lead and support the accounting team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
9. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and changes in business practices in the energy sector.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree such as an MBA is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the energy industry.
4. Previous experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is highly desirable.
5. Proven experience in preparing a company for an IPO and De-SPAC is essential.
6. Strong understanding of laws and regulations regarding public companies.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
9. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
