Overview
A nationally recognized electrical design-build contractor is seeking a Chief Electrical Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts on large-scale mission-critical and data center projects across multiple states. This high-impact role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional experienced in complex electrical systems and large-value construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead detailed cost estimates for major data center and mission-critical projects exceeding $50M.

  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for high-voltage distribution, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, conduit, lighting, and structured cabling.

  • Collaborate with service managers, engineers, and project teams across multiple regional offices.

  • Ensure estimates comply with NEC, NFPA, and all relevant local codes.

  • Participate in value-engineering initiatives to optimize cost, constructability, and efficiency.

  • Support proposal development and provide technical input during the design-build and bid phases.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of electrical estimating experience, preferably with mission-critical or data center projects.

  • Deep understanding of high-voltage power systems, Tier III/IV facilities, and structured cabling infrastructure.

  • Proficient with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Revit, and Excel.

  • Must have- Master Electrician's license

  • Preferred: Experience with LEED-certified or sustainability-focused projects and IT integration exposure.

Work Environment
