Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Chief Engineer for our client, an owner first hotel management company. This is a contract to hire position based in Alexandria, VA. The hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm with on-call expectations.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We're looking for a hands-on, solutions-driven Chief Engineer to lead the engineering and maintenance operation in Alexandria. This is a great opportunity for a skilled hospitality or facilities professional who takes pride in preventive maintenance, life safety, and creating a seamless guest experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, or similar facilities leadership role (hotel experience preferred)
Current CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Certification required
Strong experience with HVAC mechanical systems, including cooling/heating towers
Working knowledge of:
Boilers, chillers, pumps, and building automation systems
Electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance trades
Fire/life safety systems and compliance standards
Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance mindset
Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This position offers a salary range of $95,000-$105,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We offer a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with additional perks.
