The Chief Engineer will lead engineering efforts for the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System, overseeing system architecture, integration, and performance optimization throughout the program lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include serving as the technical authority, guiding architecture evaluations, defining requirements, conducting design reviews, managing system verification, and mentoring engineering teams.
Qualifications required are at least 15 years of experience in Combat Systems, Systems Architecture, and Software Engineering, with strong leadership in evaluating architectures and technologies, and familiarity with DoD practices and Navy submarine systems.
Preferred qualifications include experience with AN/BYG-1 or similar systems, advanced degrees, and security clearance eligibility.
This role is based in Manassas, VA or Washington, DC.
