Job Description Summary:

The chief engineer is responsible for ensuring that the building is maintained as a pleasing, professional business environment, with minimal disruption to building tenants and visitors. Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.

Essential Functions:

• Supervises Maintenance staff
• Oversees budgeting and financial control
• Ensures compliance with all applicable national and local codes and regulations
• Ensures construction coordination including contractor management and review
• Ensures that all communications with the Director, vendors, team members, and the client are of the highest quality

Shift Requirements:

Shift Length (in hours): 8 hours

Overtime Required: Infrequently Sometimes Often n/a (exempt position)

Other Functions:

• Implements and maintains systems and practices, including the prevention of maintenance systems
• Interacts with contractors, vendors, and consultants in an unbiased, objective, and ethical manner
• Identifies key industry resources which can aid the operation or contribute to enhancements
• Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
• Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned

Additional Job Description:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

• 10+ years related work experience, including supervisory experience (required)
• Must have hands-on experience in a critical facility, including UPS Systems, emergency generators, and switch-gear (required)

License:

• Current Valid Driver's License must be maintained (required)
