Chief Engineer with Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Chief Engineer has complete charge of, supervises, and administers all technical engineering work involved in the operation, design, maintenance, and construction of the water and sewer facilities, including operations, equipment, and/or structure; does related work as required. Directing and supervising major projects in the plants, providing technical supervision and guidance on projects, interfacing with contractors and government officials on regulations, procedures and requirements in the best interest of the Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority (WMUA). \n \nThe Authority operates (4) potable water treatment plants, (5) wells, a 5.22 MGD wastewater treatment plant, (4) pumping stations, 120+ miles of water distribution mains and sanitary sewers to serve 13,000 customers, along with bulk water sales to and sewage treatment for adjacent communities. \n \nSalary Range: $106,605.00 - $170,568.00\n \nDescription of Duties\n\n Provide engineering analysis, evaluation, and eporting on project plans and costs.\n Development and implementation of a program for the construction, inspection, and replacement of several parts and equipment.\n Manages contractor and outside engineering firms on construction projects.\n Coordinate engineering activities for asset maintenance and project construction.\n Confers with various governmental officials and administrators concerning fiscal requirements, changes in organizational policy, pertinent regulations, and other problems affecting the organization.\n Prepares reports on construction costs, time spent, and materials used.\n Consult with general contractors on construction projects, maintenance of plants, equipment, and/ or operations.\n \nKnowledge and Abilities\n\n Ability to represent the Authority in contract negotiations as a competent professional and in securing desired compliance and cooperation\n Ability to evaluate engineering plans and specifications; able to estimate costs and requirements and to monitor the timely completion of projects.\n \nRequirements\n\n 1-3 years of experience including preparation and review of engineering plans and specifications.\n Engineer degree in Civil Engineer, science, or environmental engineering.\n \nWillingboro Municipal Utilities Authority is an equal employment opportunity employer\n \nAll qualified candidates please send resume of interest to:\n \nAttn: Henry Hall, Director Human Resources\n \nWillingboro Municipal Utilities Authority\n \n433 John F.
