Job Description
The Chief Estimator will:
- Lead and manage the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accuracy and feasibility of estimates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor bids for completeness and compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor and update cost databases to reflect current market trends and pricing.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators and team members.
- Ensure all estimates are completed within deadlines and align with company objectives.

The Successful Applicant
The Chief Estimator should be able to:
- 8+ years of estimating experience, preferably at a commercial GC
- Strong ability to understand blueprints conceptually
- Ability to lead a team of other estimating professionals
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field
