Job Title: Chief Estimator
Location: Elk River, MN (Onsite)
Position Overview: A construction leader needs a Chief Estimator to own and elevate the entire estimating function. This role sets estimating standards, guides strategy, and ensures competitive, profitable bids across multiple project types. You manage people and process while holding the team accountable for accuracy and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the estimating team
- Standardize estimating methods and implement best practices
- Review and approve high-value estimates
- Inform bid/no-bid decisions and pricing strategies
- Build relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal leadership
- Monitor market costs and adjust estimating assumptions
Requirements:
- 10+ years estimating with leadership in civil/site construction
- Exceptional analytical and communication capability
- Track record of winning profitable work
Preferred Background: Heavy infrastructure estimating leadership
