Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Remote
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team and lead the company's financial strategy, planning, operations, and governance.
The Role
As CFO, you will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, overseeing the company's financial organization and helping shape its next stage of growth.
You will own financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, cash management, financial reporting, capital planning, risk management, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate combines strong technical finance expertise with commercial judgment and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear business decisions.
This is a hands-on executive role suited to a finance leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, technology-driven environment and building scalable financial processes as the organization grows.
What You Will Do
Lead Nexorynt's overall financial strategy, planning, and long-term financial direction.
Partner with the CEO and executive team on strategic planning, investments, growth initiatives, and resource allocation.
Own the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including rolling forecasts and long-range financial planning.
Establish financial models, dashboards, and KPIs that provide leadership with clear visibility into company performance.
Oversee cash flow management, working capital, liquidity planning, and capital allocation.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and ensure accurate and timely management reporting.
Develop financial analysis supporting pricing, profitability, expansion, hiring, product investments, and other strategic decisions.
Build scalable finance processes, controls, policies, and reporting infrastructure as the company grows.
Oversee accounting operations, including the month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, and coordination with external accounting partners.
Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, and other financial stakeholders.
Develop and maintain appropriate internal controls and financial governance practices.
Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide practical recommendations to executive leadership.
Lead fundraising, debt financing, M&A, or other capital-related initiatives when applicable.
Monitor business performance against financial targets and investigate significant variances.
Evaluate unit economics, margins, customer economics, operating expenses, and return on investment.
Establish financial systems and technology that improve automation, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Support executive leadership and the board with financial presentations, forecasts, strategic analysis, and business updates.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting organization as the company scales.
What We Are Looking For
20+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.
Previous experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Finance Director, or senior finance executive in a technology or high-growth organization.
Strong understanding of financial strategy, FP&A, accounting, cash management, financial modeling, and corporate finance.
Demonstrated experience partnering directly with CEOs, founders, boards, and executive leadership teams.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and corporate governance.
Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
Experience managing budgets, forecasts, cash flow, financial KPIs, and business performance metrics.
Strong understanding of SaaS, technology, digital products, or other scalable business models.
Experience building finance functions, processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure.
Excellent understanding of profitability analysis, unit economics, pricing, and capital allocation.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, discretion, accountability, and business judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, Master's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification.
Experience with venture-backed, private-equity-backed, or rapidly scaling technology companies.
Experience leading fundraising, M&A, strategic transactions, or capital markets activities.
Experience implementing or upgrading ERP, accounting, FP&A, and financial reporting systems.
Experience with financial automation, BI platforms, and data-driven management reporting.
Previous experience managing distributed or remote finance teams.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $200k-$260k yearly
Remote Work
This is a fully remote U.S.-based position. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, employees, and external financial partners through a distributed operating environment.
