Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of our company. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the Board of Directors and the senior leadership team.
Your role will be to develop and implement strategies to improve revenue, manage the revenue cycle, and lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) department. You will be at the forefront of our company's financial operations and the strategic financial gatekeeper of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the company's financial planning and budgeting, ensuring the company's financial commitments are met.
- Manage the revenue cycle to maximize revenue while minimizing risk.
- Lead the FP&A department, providing strategic direction and oversight.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure financial data accuracy and integrity.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
- Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
- Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.
- Advise from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
- Proven experience in executive leadership positions, overseeing financial operations and strategy.
- Demonstrated experience in managing revenue cycles and FP&A.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
- High level of commercial acumen and a record of confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of risk management practices and governance frameworks.
