A bit about us:

A rapidly growing, high-performing plaintiff law firm is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.

This is a key strategic hire for the firm. The CFO will work closely with the Managing Partner and C-Suite, taking ownership of the firm's financial operations, accounting infrastructure, reporting, controls, and long-term financial strategy. We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked within a large or sophisticated law firm environment. Prior plaintiff-side experience is highly attractive, although candidates coming from large defense or other complex law firms will also be considered.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm's overall financial strategy, accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Partner directly with the Managing Partner and executive leadership on financial planning and strategic decision-making.
• Manage and develop an accounting team of approximately 6–7 bookkeepers/accounting professionals.
• Oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
• Manage the financial complexities associated with a plaintiff contingency-fee practice.
• Oversee settlement accounting, settlement disbursements, and case-related financial transactions.
