Leads the Financial Services Branch for the agency overseeing a complex agency wide budget and fiscal operation, grant funding and all procurement activity, assigned to the Administrative Services Division of the Fairfax County Sheriff's Office. Requires strong analytical and business partnering skills, as well as significant budgeting, procurement, grants, audit and financial management experience. Has full accountability for the supervision and direction of agency financial management and operations to include investment, budget, purchasing, inmate banking, revenue, other fund management, accounting, capital replacement funding operations, capital improvements, grants, warehouse operations and the Sheriff Office's vehicle fleet. Continually manages, develops and mentors staff development within the Financial Services Branch. Functions as a business partner with the Sheriff and senior command staff to guide decisions on all issues and concerns related to finance in the agency to include:- Formulating and evaluating proposed legislation for the Commonwealth and intra-governmental agencies.
- Serving as the agency primary financial coordinator with federal agencies, agencies of the Commonwealth, Fairfax County agencies (Department of Management and Budget (DMB), Department of Procurement and Material Management (DPMM), Department of Finance (DoF), and Department of Human Resources (DHR)), US Marshalls, and Fairfax City Budget Office. Continually manages staff development within the Financial Services Branch.
