Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree. A minimum of four years of professional experience in personnel administration, human resources, labor relations or related field to include supervisory experience is required. Proof of education and work experience to meet minimum qualifications must be presented and will be verified.

Recruitment Notes

This is highly responsible administrative and managerial work planning and directing the activities of a Human Resources Division in the Department of Housing and Community Development. This role is responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and initiatives that support organizational goals, promote employee engagement, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Chief serves as the principal advisor to senior leadership on all workforce‑related matters.

Pursuant to the authority in Chapter 8B of the Code of Miami-Dade County, when there is a declared state of emergency issued for any portion of Miami-Dade County, all employees of Housing and Community Development will be required to adhere to directives from the Mayor or the Mayors designee to report to work and perform all duties assigned during a declared state of emergency.
