Comic Relief has a remarkable heritage. For four decades, we have brought millions of people together through moments of joy, generosity and shared purpose, raising funds to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing communities in the UK and around the world. But we know that the world is changing, and so must we. We are determined to strengthen our relevance, grow our income, and reach new audiences, supporters and partners.

We are creating a new role that is central to our journey and focus on the future, and becoming a more modern, commercially-minded charity. The Chief Income Officer is a highly strategic role, identifying what our future income portfolio should be, charting a path to get there, and overseeing progress on that path year to year, month to month and day by day. 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead Comic Relief's income strategy and delivery at a critical point of transformation, rebuilding core fundraising while creating a more diversified, resilient and future-facing income model. This is both a transformation and growth role, stabilising and modernising existing income streams while building new sources of income, and bringing these together as a single, deliberate and joined-up income strategy.

The Chief Income Officer is responsible for leading and delivering Comic Relief's income strategy across all streams, including:

• Public fundraising
• Corporate partnerships
• Philanthropy and high value giving
• Trusts, foundations and institutional funding
• Commercial and IP-based income

The role has responsibility for leading Comic Relief's income engine and strengthening public fundraising as a foundation of our future success. The Chief Income Officer will play a critical role not only in growing revenue, but in helping Comic Relief strengthen its connection with the public and build the audiences, supporters and partnerships that will sustain our impact for years to come.
