Position Overview
As Chief Informatics Officer (CIO) at the Fresno VA, you will oversee and administer clinical informatics, data analysis and validation, software/hardware training, and troubleshooting across all VACCHCS facilities. You will be responsible for testing and validating systems, deploying Electronic Health Record Modernization (Cerner) across VACCHCS sites, and coordinating with VISN 21 facilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead clinical informatics strategy, data management, analytics, and training initiatives to optimize patient care
Analyze and interpret diverse data sets (including from Clinical Data Warehouse, VISTA, VSSC, Pyramid Analytics) to support care delivery
Oversee and coordinate Cerner EHR implementation and integration across all facilities
Serve as a change management leader-evaluate, streamline, and enhance clinical and administrative data processes
Provide direct patient care that is compassionate, effective, and appropriate, supporting the full spectrum of health and wellness
Apply advanced biomedical, clinical, and social science knowledge to clinical care and staff education
Drive user experience improvements, workflow redesign, and technology adoption
Support compliance with information security, data governance, and regulatory standards
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and respect
Other executive duties as assigned

Salary: $225,000-$400,000 per year (plus potential incentives)
