Preference Employment Solutions is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer for a growing, technology-driven organization serving farmers and agricultural businesses. This newly created executive role will establish the company s long-term marketing vision, lead an existing marketing team, and strengthen alignment among marketing, product, sales, and executive leadership.

Location: Fargo, ND (Remote)
Compensation: $200k+/year, DOE

Position Overview:

• 
  Develop and execute a cohesive, long-term marketing strategy.
  
• 
  Strengthen brand positioning across multiple products and customer segments.
  
• 
  Align marketing initiatives with company, product, and sales priorities.
  
• 
  Lead product marketing, demand generation, communications, public relations, and digital marketing.
  
• 
  Use data and customer insights to guide decisions and measure results.
  
• 
  Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership.
  
• 
  Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team.
  
• 
  Establish clear goals, accountability, and performance expectations.
  
• 
  Manage the marketing budget and strategic partnerships.
  

Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:

• 
  Significant senior-level marketing leadership experience, ideally as a CMO, Vice President of Marketing, or equivalent
  
• 
  Demonstrated success developing and executing company-wide marketing strategy
  
• 
  Strong business acumen and an understanding of marketing s impact on revenue and profitability
  
• 
  Experience with brand strategy, product marketing, and customer acquisition
  
• 
  Confidence and executive presence, including the ability to provide constructive pushback
  
• 
  Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  
• 
  Experience leading and developing marketing teams
  
• 
  Experience in B2B SaaS, agricultural technology, fintech, agribusiness, or another complex business-to-business environment is strongly preferred
  
• 
  Familiarity with the Midwest and an understanding of trust-based relationships within agriculture would be particularly valuable
  
• 
  Bachelor s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
