Chief Medical Officer

MD or DO, board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics. Active or eligible California medical license. Minimum 3 years of physician leadership experience as a Medical Director, Associate CMO, CMO, or equivalent. Demonstrated success leading provider groups, driving clinical accountability, and building cohesive teams. Strong consensus-building leadership style with high emotional intelligence and integrity. Willingness to be on-site a minimum of 4 days per week.

Preferred: Prior FQHC or community health center experience. Spanish language ability (interpreters available on-site). Experience leading clinical teams through facility expansion or integration of new service lines. Comfort with EHR-driven workflows and AI-supported clinical documentation tools.

• Lead and mentor a team of MDs, DOs, NPs, and PAs with hands-on, visible leadership
• Partner with the CEO as a clinical co-pilot on strategy, accountability, and culture
• Drive provider productivity, peer review, and adherence to clinical protocols
• Oversee provider recruitment and retention in partnership with executive leadership
• Co-design incentive and retention structures with the CEO and Board
• Support behavioral health integration and service-line expansion
• Maintain approximately 1–2 days of direct patient care per week
