Our client, a leading organization in facility management, is seeking a Chief Operating Engineer to join their team. As a Chief Operating Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Management Department supporting the maintenance and operational excellence of the building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Oversee daily operations and management of the facility maintenance team to ensure safety, efficiency, and optimal performance of machinery and systems.
- Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives aligned with organizational vision.
- Identify safety hazards, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines.
- Manage engineering systems including HVAC, refrigeration, water cooling, boilers, and electrical systems, ensuring proper maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to execute projects, monitor performance, and improve operational processes.
What's Needed?
- Minimum 6 years of documented work experience in the HVAC or Electrical trade, with at least 4 years supporting education or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of facility-related work experience, including leadership and supervisory roles.
- Managerial experience leading maintenance teams in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, construction planning, and execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
