Chief Operating Officer

Location: Lakewood, NJ (On-Site)
Compensation: $250K+ DOE + Performance Incentive

About the Company

Our client is a rapidly growing wholesale distribution company generating over $100M in annual revenue. They are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to serve as the CEO's right hand and lead the company's day-to-day operations through its next stage of growth.

This is a true executive leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, developing leaders, and driving execution across an entrepreneurial organization.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with the CEO to execute strategic initiatives
• Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments
• Improve operational efficiency, communication, and accountability company-wide
• Develop and implement KPIs, reporting, and performance metrics
• Build scalable processes and operating procedures
• Lead department heads and hold teams accountable for results
• Improve collaboration between Sales, Finance, Warehouse, Inventory, Technology, and Operations
• Evaluate business initiatives and make recommendations based on operational and financial performance
• Resolve cross-functional issues and remove operational bottlenecks
• Drive organizational planning as the company continues to scale
• Help build leadership infrastructure while maintaining an entrepreneurial culture

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior operational leadership experience
• Experience leading multiple departments within a growing organization
• Proven success building processes, KPIs, and operational structure
• Strong financial and business acumen
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Comfortable working directly with an entrepreneurial CEO
• Experience within distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, logistics, consumer products, eCommerce, or another operationally complex business preferred
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
