Job Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational functions of a reputable personal injury law firm. The COO will be responsible for overseeing daily business operations, driving operational excellence initiatives, and ensuring the firm’s strategic objectives are achieved efficiently. This leadership role demands a proactive executive with extensive experience in managing complex business processes, fostering organizational growth, and implementing large-scale change management strategies. Duties

• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the firm’s long-term vision and growth objectives.
• Lead business development management efforts to expand client base and enhance market presence.
• Oversee business operations, including case management workflows, client service delivery, and administrative functions.
• Implement operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality standards across departments.
• Manage budgets meticulously, including forecasting, financial management, profit and loss analysis, and executive-level budget oversight.
• Drive process improvement projects by analyzing operational data to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Lead large-scale organizational change management initiatives to adapt to evolving legal landscapes and market demands.
• Supervise senior leadership teams, ensuring effective collaboration and clear communication with executives.
• Oversee project management efforts related to technology upgrades, staffing plans, and operational restructuring.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven decision making and strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards, ethical practices, and internal policies at all levels of operations.
• Monitor operational analysis metrics to evaluate performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in executive leadership roles within law firms or professional services organizations specializing in personal injury law.
• Extensive knowledge of operational management principles including process improvement, change management, and large-scale organizational change.
• Demonstrated success in business development management and strategic planning.
• Strong financial management skills encompassing budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss analysis, and operational finance oversight.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills suited for engaging with executives, staff, clients, and external partners.
• Expertise in project management methodologies with a focus on program management within complex organizations.
• Leadership qualities that inspire teams; supervisory experience is essential for managing senior staff effectively.
• Data-driven decision-making capabilities supported by analytical skills to interpret operational metrics.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with legal industry regulations and compliance standards is preferred but not mandatory.
