ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Strategic Leadership:  

· With the CEO and senior leaders, define and convey a clear and compelling vision for the future that aligns with the strategic priorities set by the board of directors. 

· Lead operational planning, workflow optimization, and performance benchmarking to achieve organizational objectives.  

· Conduct evaluations, including market and policy analyses, to identify service gaps, risk, strategic growth, and partnership opportunities.  

· Collect and utilize data to define operational strategy, goals and objectives, and to demonstrate accountability for achieving defined outcomes 

 Health Center Operations:  

· In collaboration with all clinical and programmatic leadership, design and lead an array of services that operate as an integrated model of care offered by multidisciplinary care teams.  

· Optimize all clinical operations, including staffing, scheduling and utilization, patient flow, patient and staff communication protocols, and patient safety.  

· Translates federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and FQHC requirements into operational protocols that demonstrate best practices.  

· Participate in relevant contract negotiations, vendor management, and grants administration. 

· Provides accurate and timely reports outlining the operational state of the health centers.  

· Monitor all operational policies and procedures and update or amend as needed. 
 

Financial Sustainability:  

· Partner with the CFO and other executive leaders to create budgets that align with the organization's strategic goals and operational needs. 

· Analyzing financial data, statements, and trends to assess performance and identify areas for improvement; design and implement corrective action, as needed 

· Drive operational efficiency and cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.  

· In conjunction with Development and other leaders in the organization, participate in fund raising activities; meet, interact, and present information effectively to potential funders, investors, and private equity firms.  

 People & Culture:  

· Recruit, mentor, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.  

·  Set challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance, and profitability.  

·  Promote a positive, inclusive work environment aligned with Care Resource’s 3Cs of service and other defined values; optimize employee experience.  

· Implement training programs and performance evaluations to support staff growth and accountability. 

 Quality, Safety, & Innovation:  

· Ensure operational compliance with all federal, state, and local government laws and regulations. 

· Lead team meetings and process improvement initiatives to continuously improve safety, outcomes, quality, and efficiency. 

· Define KPIs aligned with center priorities and goals; monitor and interpret data to drive process improvement initiatives that enhance patient and employee experience and operational outcomes; measure performance against industry best practices. 

· Maximize technology and automation to improve care delivery and efficiency.  

· Monitor local and national healthcare trends to identify opportunities for innovation and expansion. 

 Other:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS 

Education:  

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent job experience, is required. Master’s Degree preferred. 

 Training and Experience: 

· A minimum of seven years of relevant leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership position, is required.  

· Experience in a federally qualified health center, community health center, behavioral health center or similar is strongly preferred.  

 Licenses and/or certifications: 

· None required 

Job Knowledge and Skills: 

· Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory aspects of operating a federally funded ambulatory healthcare facility; FQHC experience strongly preferred. 

· Proficiency using at least one brand of electronic health record. 

· Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork, and organizational skills; a high degree of emotional intelligence.  

· Keen problem solving and decision-making proficiencies.  

· Ability to move comfortably and in real-time between macro and micro functions of the clinical and business operations. 

· Position is primarily onsite, moving regularly between numerous clinical sites; remote work is expected to be < 25% for at least the first year. 

· The ability to work with a multicultural and diverse population is required. 

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.  

 Supervisory Responsibility: 

· Supervises varying levels of staff (Directors, Managers, and front-line staff) 

 Contact Responsibility: 

· The responsibility for internal and external contacts is frequent and important. 

Other: 

· Own transportation is required with frequent travel to all clinical sites in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.  

· A clean driving record according to company policy is required. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

This work requires the following physical activities: constant sitting, talking in person, talking on the phone, hearing/ visual acuity, and vision for close work. Frequent walking, standing, and exposure to infectious pathogens. Occasional bending, stretching/reaching, exposure to hazardous materials, and driving may be required. Work is performed in office and medical settings.
