Position Summary
MCDC is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead the strategic direction and oversight of clinical operations, systems, patient communications, and scheduling across our 28-center network. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Chief Dental Officer, the COO will be the driving force behind operational excellence, patient satisfaction, and sustainable organizational growth.

Responsibilities:
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with the executive team to advance MCDC's mission of enhancing community health by expanding access to quality dental care for all.
- Set the strategic direction and oversight of clinical management, systems, patient communications, and scheduling across all centers.
- Develop and execute operational strategies that drive company goals, growth objectives, and continuous improvement.
- Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, and IT to ensure seamless integration of new systems and initiatives.
- Lead initiatives that enhance the patient experience, streamline operations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing clinical management team, including regional and office managers.
- Own practice-level budget targets, partnering with Finance to monitor performance, achieve P&L and cash flow goals, and identify growth opportunities.
- Build and develop high-performing regional teams and champion a culture of accountability, integrity, and service excellence.
- Support MCDC's risk management, compliance, and patient retention and growth initiatives.
- Participate in executive strategic planning at the corporate level.

Qualifications:
Job Specifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in dental practice management or operations, including experience in a multi-location setting (7+ locations).
- Strong knowledge of dental practice operations, including scheduling, patient flow, billing, and insurance processes.
- A proven track record of leading high-performing teams and implementing operational strategies that drive growth and efficiency.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial and operational data.
- Familiarity with dental industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills, with the ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization.
