Our client, a growing food production company, is seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to join their executive leadership team. This role reports directly to the CEO and is central to building operational discipline, accountability structures, and cross-functional coordination across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in operations, program management, or a similar chief-of-staff capacity, ideally within a manufacturing or CPG environment.
Job Responsibilities -
- Direct all aspects of daily plant operations, ensuring production targets are achieved in alignment with safety and quality expectations.
- Track and analyze operational metrics and lead efforts to address performance gaps.
- Champion lean manufacturing and process improvement strategies.
- Serve as a primary point of coordination between production, quality assurance, procurement, and shipping/logistics.
- Utilize ERP platforms and inventory management tools to support operational decision-making.
- Support consistent use of the company's decision-making framework across teams and meetings.
- Monitor departmental performance metrics and help identify the causes behind any shortfalls.
- Convert informal or undocumented processes into clear, repeatable procedures.
- Provide the CEO with regular updates on progress, task completion, and emerging risks.
Job Requirements -
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, program/project management, or a chief-of-staff-style role.
- Proven track record designing and running structured meeting cadences and accountability systems across multiple teams.
- Ability to influence and coordinate across departments without direct authority over those teams.
- Experience translating an operating framework, playbook, or set of guiding principles into daily practice.
- Strong process documentation skills, with the ability to turn informal workflows into usable procedures.
- Comfortable building structure in a business with evolving or less-formalized systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, preferred
