POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Operations Officer provides executive leadership for the district's operational systems, ensuring that facilities, transportation, and nutrition services are aligned to support safe, efficient, and high-quality learning environments for allstudents. This role is accountable for the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of operational services that enable schools to function at a high level and support the district's academic priorities.
The Chief Operations Officer oversees Facilities Services, Transportation, and Nutrition Services, ensuring that each area operates with a focus on efficiency, compliance, customer service, and continuous improvement. This includes maintaining safe and well-functioning school environments, ensuring reliable and timely student transportation, and providing high-quality nutrition services that support student health and readiness to learn. This role is responsible for aligning operational systems with district priorities, including enrollment trends, school schedules, and programmatic needs, to ensure that resources are effectively allocated and responsive to the needs of students and schools. The Chief Operations Officer works closely with academic and student support leaders to ensure that operational decisions directly support teaching and learning.
The Chief Operations Officer reports to the Senior Chief of Staff - Academics and District Operations and works collaboratively with executive leadership to ensure that operational systems are fully aligned to support the district's overall mission and goals.
