CHIEF R&D ENGINEER for valves & fluid controls

Due to growth, GNR has been retained to identify an R&D CHIEF ENGINEER for a well-established & reputable $400m+ company that continues to create innovative solutions.

The company has a long history in solving some of the industry’s toughest problems for the Aerospace & Defense, Space, Industrial, Medical Equipment, and Automotive sectors. They are known worldwide for creating highly specialized fluid controls, valves, filters, and pumps. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing center is an “ENGINEER'S PLAYGROUND”!

Reporting to the Director of Innovation, you’ll play a significant role in leading all R&D initiatives across the company’s entire product portfolio & drive innovations for new product development.

• Partner with multiple product groups on their challenges, processes, materials, costs, testing, and manufacturing/production.
• Influence & guide technical direction, prototyping and testing of research projects to successfully transition into production - NPI/NPD.
• Collaborate on strategic roadmaps, new technologies, market trends, and product placement in potential new markets.
• Lead multiple projects & advise leadership on milestones and ROI.
• Lead & mentor a team of 10+ to think outside the box

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 8+ years of experience in Research & Product Development PREFERABLY for Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical products, components or large systems (hydraulics – fluid controls – valves – pumps)
• Experience leading multiple projects, monitoring budgets & schedules
• Strong Team leadership, development & mentoring
• Degreed BS / MS / PhD - Engineering / Physics / Science / Materials
