    Description

    We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to define the organization's technology vision, lead engineering strategy, and drive innovation across the business. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, executive leadership, strategic planning, and business alignment to ensure technology capabilities support long-term growth. With a strong background in technology leadership, software engineering, enterprise architecture, product development, digital transformation, and organizational scaling. You will play a critical role in shaping the company's technology roadmap, building high-performing engineering teams, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Technology Vision & Strategic Leadership

    • Define and execute the organization's overall technology vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
    • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction across software engineering,infrastructure, architecture, security, and technology operations.
    • Identify emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovation opportunities to maintain competitive advantage.
    • Establish technology standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across the organization.
    • Partner with CEO, executive leadership, and business stakeholders to translate business goals into technology initiatives.
    • Evaluate technology investments and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
    • Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business scalability.
    • Establish a culture of innovation, technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Act as the primary technology advisor for strategic business decisions.
    • Ensure technology strategies support current business needs while enabling future growth.

    2. Engineering Leadership & Software Development Strategy

    • Lead and oversee software engineering, architecture, product engineering, and technical delivery teams.
    • Establish engineering practices that promote scalability, reliability, security, and high-quality software delivery.
    • Guide engineering leadership teams, including Directors of Engineering, Engineering Managers, and Technical Leads.
    • Define software development standards, architecture principles, and technical governance models.
    • Ensure adoption of modern engineering practices including Agile delivery, DevOps,CI/CD, automation, cloud-native development, and continuous improvement.
    • Review and approve major architectural decisions and technology implementations.
    • Drive improvements in software development lifecycle processes and engineeringproductivity.
    • Ensure engineering teams deliver solutions that meet business requirements, customer expectations, and technical standards.
    • Support the development of scalable platforms, products, and enterprise solutions.
    • Establish engineering metrics to measure delivery performance, quality, reliability, and innovation.

    3. Technology Architecture & Innovation

    • Define enterprise technology architecture and long-term technical direction.
    • Ensure systems, applications, and platforms are scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable.
    • Oversee architecture reviews, technology evaluations, and technical decision-making processes.
    • Promote adoption of cloud technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, data platforms, and modern software solutions.
    • Evaluate technology risks and implement strategies to improve system resilience.
    • Drive reduction of technical debt and improvement of engineering efficiency.
    • Establish standards for software architecture, integration patterns, security practices, and system performance.
    • Collaborate with engineering leaders to ensure technical solutions support business scalability.
    • Encourage research, experimentation, and adoption of innovative technology approaches.
    • Ensure technology infrastructure supports future product and business expansion.

    4. Team Building & Engineering Organization Development

    • Build, mentor, and lead world-class technology teams.
    • Develop organizational structures that support scalability and business growth.
    • Recruit, retain, and develop senior engineering leaders and technical talent.
    • Participate in hiring decisions for engineering executives, senior engineers,architects, and contract technical resources.
    • Establish leadership development programs and technical career growth opportunities.
    • Create a culture of collaboration, ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence.
    • Coach technology leaders on strategic decision-making and organizational management.
    • Support workforce planning and resource allocation across technology teams.
    • Evaluate engineering capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning throughout the technology organization.

    5. Business Collaboration & Executive Stakeholder Management

    • Collaborate closely with CEO, COO, CIO, CFO, Product, Sales, and Operations teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
    • Communicate technology strategy, progress, risks, and opportunities to executive stakeholders.
    • Provide technology insights that support business growth and competitive positioning.
    • Evaluate business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
    • Partner with Product teams to define technical feasibility, delivery strategies, and product innovation.
    • Manage relationships with technology partners, vendors, and external service providers.
    • Present technology roadmaps, investment plans, and strategic recommendations to leadership teams.
    • Ensure technology decisions create measurable business value.
    • Balance innovation, operational stability, security, and cost efficiency.

    6. Technology Budget & Resource Management

    • Develop and manage technology budgets aligned with organizational priorities.
    • Evaluate technology investments, infrastructure costs, and engineering resource requirements.
    • Approve technology spending, vendor partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
    • Optimize technology resources through effective workforce planning and capacity management.
    • Collaborate with Finance teams to evaluate return on technology investments.
    • Manage a balance between internal engineering teams and external technology resources.
    • Approve contractor requirements for specialized engineering skills and critical technology initiatives.
    • Ensure technology operations remain cost-effective and scalable.

    7. Security, Compliance & Operational Excellence

    • Establish technology security strategies and ensure protection of company systems and data.
    • Collaborate with security teams to implement cybersecurity best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and technology policies.
    • Oversee technology risk management and disaster recovery planning.
    • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of technology systems.
    • Promote operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
    • Establish processes to identify and resolve technology risks proactively.
    • Ensure technology platforms support business continuity and long-term reliability.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
    • 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, software engineering, and enterprise technology management.
    • Proven experience as CTO, VP of Engineering, Head of Technology, or similar executive technology leadership role.
    • Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud computing, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and modern technology platforms.
    • Experience leading large-scale engineering teams and complex technology initiatives.
    • Strong strategic planning, business leadership, and executive communication skills.
    • Proven experience building engineering organizations and scaling technology operations.
    • Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, software delivery, and engineering best practices.
    • Experience managing technology budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic technology investments.
    • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and digital transformation strategies.
    • Ability to balance technical decisions with business objectives and financial considerations.
    • Experience working with global teams and enterprise-level technology environments.
