    Chief Veterinary Medical Officer

    Our Client is searching for a Chief Veterinary Medical Officer to join their dedicated team! They are a 24-hour Emergency and Referral facility is a one-of-a-kind specialty animal hospital composed of a cohesive group of experts who values teamwork and client experience.     Ideal Candidate:

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent. Boarded or residency-trained specialists are preferred.

    • Active veterinary license in the state of TN is preferred, but not required, licensure fees will be covered.

    • Ideally, 5+ years of ER Veterinary Medicine practice experience.

    • Prior Medical Director experience.

    • Currently holds federal DEA licenses or eligible to obtain upon hire.

    • Proficiency in internal medicine, diagnostics, surgery and emergency care.

    • Passionate about building and fostering a strong team.

    • Positive and effective leadership.

    • Ability to manage staff and outcomes with emotional intelligence.

    • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.

    • Delegation of tasks and achieving results with practice team members.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
