    This acute inpatient psychiatric unit is located on the 4th floor of a medical plaza in South Philadelphia and operates as part of a behavioral health network. The facility provides short-term psychiatric stabilization for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing acute mental health crises. The unit is a newly established service with an anticipated daily census of 10 to 14 patients. About the Facility Location

Clinicians on assignment may explore the city through historical walking tours, food tours, street art tours, and evening tours that blend entertainment with historical insight. About the Clinician‘s Workday

    The clinician will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents during day shift hours, with a daily census ranging from 10 to 14 patients. Responsibilities include evaluating newly admitted patients, conducting daily follow-up visits, and assessing mood and affect, suicidal or homicidal risk, psychosis or hallucinations, anxiety symptoms, sleep and appetite, and medication response and side effects. The clinician will adjust medications based on each patient‘s progress within the context of an acute inpatient psychiatric stabilization unit. Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and prescriptive authority are required; no call obligations are associated with this position.
