Position Title: Child & Adolescent Tele Psychiatrist
Job Type: Contract / Telepsychiatry

Contract Duration: 5 Years

Schedule
  • Part-Time
  • 20 Hours per Week
  • Monday–Friday
  • Primarily 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM during school year
  • No evenings/weekends required
The Child & Adolescent Telepsychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, telepsychiatry consultations, treatment planning, and clinical documentation services for children and adolescents receiving behavioral health treatment through New York State Office of Mental Health programs.
The psychiatrist will collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams and utilize OMH electronic medical record systems while maintaining HIPAA-compliant telehealth practices.
Core Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose behavioral and mental health conditions
  • Provide medication management services
  • Develop and update treatment plans
  • Conduct telepsychiatry sessions
  • Complete admission assessments and annual evaluations
  • Prepare discharge assessments and clinical documentation
  • Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team collaboration
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Certifications
  • Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
    OR
  • Board Eligible within 3 years of completion of accredited fellowship program
Licensing
  • Active and unrestricted medical license
  • Ability to legally practice psychiatry in New York State
  • DEA registration preferred
Required Experience
  • Experience providing psychiatric services to children and adolescents
  • Experience with telepsychiatry/telehealth services
  • Experience using EMR/EHR systems
  • Strong clinical documentation experience
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in psychiatric hospitals or behavioral health programs
  • Experience with OMH or state behavioral health systems
  • Experience treating pediatric/adolescent psychiatric populations
  • Experience with MHARS or similar EMR systems
