Job Description

KidsVoice provides a voice of hope, a voice for rights and a voice of experience for abused, neglected and at-risk children who otherwise cannot speak for themselves. KidsVoice vigilantly guides each child through the court process and ensures that every agency involved meets the full range of the child's needs.We currently have a full-time Child Advocacy Specialist position available. The CAS works on a regional multi-disciplinary team with attorneys to advocate for children of abuse and neglect. The schedule for this job is Monday through Friday, some evening work required, with the CAS coordinating their own schedule.The CAS will:Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to develop recommendations for court as well as recommendations and strategies for other forums of advocacyParticipate and advocate in relevant/appropriate client planning meetings and conferencesAssist clients regarding the role of KidsVoice, court hearings and servicesVisit and interview clients in their current living environmentNegotiate and advocate for resources to address clients' needsRequired qualifications include:An experienced professional with a minimum of three years human services experienceBA/BS in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, Counseling, Education or other related fieldKnowledge of child development and/or child welfare issuesAdvanced degree preferredKidsVoice has an outstanding benefit package with generous cost-sharing on all health insurance, time off and parking reimbursement.
