LSI seeks part-time (up to 24 hrs/week) Bilingual Child Care Associate for Immigrant and Refugee Community Services in Des Moines.

What You'll Do
Provide on-site child care services to clients who are attending training classes. Observe and monitor the needs of children ages 0-10 years for 1-2 hour blocks of time. Organize and engage children in age appropriate activities while ensuring their safety and well being. Assist in preparing snacks and beverages for children and regulate rest periods. Notify and update child guardians of any concerns or issues as they arise. Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
This position will be scheduled on an as needed basis to meet client needs, hours and shifts will vary.
What You'll Need
Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma/equivalent and 1 year of experience in child care. Qualified applicants must meet language requirements.
Current language needs include Karen, Burmese, Chin, Arabic, Nepali, Kunama, Saho, Tigrynia, Kirundi, and Swahili.
